Why? – Continued

I have often written about my Self in this blog and the battle I had with it. As I write this blog I am beginning to realize just how much of my Higher Self was there and how it did override the Self a lot of the time when it came time to doing things – such as the travel to Palmerston North. It has been an awakening for me to find that out.

Working for the Masters is not easy because very rarely do we have enough discipline in our lives and so we have to learn how to have discipline which, of course, the Self part of us does not like. But we also have to be prepared to do things at the last minute. Often Alan and I are not told about what we are to do work-wise until the last minute. Why is this? It is because if we knew beforehand, our Self would do all it could to sabotage us. It is as simple as that!

Having trust and faith is huge. It is so hard to fight the fear because we are not used to that. For me, the 1982 recession in Australia helped greatly because often I did not know when I would buy groceries as there was a bill to pay and it was a toss-up between the bill and food. My cupboards were always bare but, at the end of the week, I always had the money for food. I would have only enough for the basic groceries, but it would be there. I might have to sell something in a garage sale, but I would always manifest the money for what we needed. I put it down to not worrying about it or where it would come from. I remember one Christmas nobody knowing about our financial situation except a neighbor and, although she swore it was not her, I believe she told a charity about us because they left a gift basket of Christmas produce on our doorstep.

Why? – Continued

Halfway through the course I was teaching at the time, the eleven class members asked me if I would be teaching another course – an advanced one. I told them that, if I got the numbers, I would do one, and asked if they would put their names down for it if they wanted to do it. All eleven students put their names down, and five of them offered to pay their deposit. They asked when I could do it and I mentioned the following year. They wanted it that year. In fact, they mentioned September. I realized that I could teach the course in September and it dawned on me then that, if I did, I would have the money to go to the US in October and teach there. I called my friend, and she laughed and told me she knew I was going. I had to wait to get our plane tickets until just before we went, but again the Universe provided two empty seats on the plane, which was extremely hard to get in those days. Usually seats were booked way ahead of the flights.

I have had so many experiences such as that one over the years. On one particular occasion we had a breakfast show in Palmerston North in New Zealand; we lived in Taupo, a five hour drive. It was mid-winter, very cold and, even before we set out, I did not want to go. The Self part of me just wanted to get back into bed and cancel the trip. It would have been so easy to do, but the Higher Self part of me did get out of bed. Despite the first road we traveled being closed and us having to go the long way around to get there, we did get there, and I did the radio show.

The brother that I recently found after 25 years had been on my website, seen my accomplishments, and commented on how proud he is of me for doing what I have done. To be perfectly honest, I do not know how I did it. It took a lot of discipline.

General Stuff 3 – Final Words

It never ceases to amaze me how many people write to me with questions that can be answered from my books. I have written a number of books with a great deal of information in them, most of which is not in other metaphysical books. I recently recorded an audio book version of The Photon Energy book. This enables you to listen to the book in your car while driving or to download into your i-pod and to listen to it and not have to read the book. In a few weeks time, all of the books will be on audio CD. The writings of Maitreya (www.maitreya-edu.org) hold a wealth of information on many hundreds of subjects written by him since 1997. One does not have to be without knowledge. Many of these writings are also available on an audio CD recorded by Alan and, may I say, recorded superbly by him. The feedback on these audio readings has been phenomenal.

There is no need (as I stated) to be without information on any metaphysical subject. Maitreya has written just about everything on every subject. Put it into the search engines in his website and it will come up. If you do not find what you need, write and ask him to write about it. He may not do that for some time, but he will eventually get around to it. When I began my development, I honestly thought that it was going to be so easy. I thought that I was going to be taken care of financially, that I would be in heaven most of the time, and that it would not take long. I was completely wrong. Spiritual development is about facing our fears, about being true to who we are on the level of our Higher Self and not in what the Self tells us or wants us to be. It is discipline – obedience in a way – to Spirit and not being afraid to face your dark side. It is also about keeping no secrets. The more you try to; the more they will be exposed!

Discipline and Spiritual Development

You ask me, “Master, what can I do to develop myself spiritually?” To become spiritually developed means to have discipline. You are so used to doing it your way or when you feel like doing it. We also have our way. Often our way ties in astrologically with the planets.

So many souls ask to work for us. They say, “Master, please let us work for you!” So we allow you to do so, but before long you are complaining because you need time to yourself. To work for us, the Masters, means to give a total commitment. It does not mean to say that you hand over your freedom. You do not. But we are hard taskmasters; we have to be. While working for us you are also working through the lessons you have to learn.

Many souls think that, because they work for us, they get concessions. This is not true. We do see that you do not need for anything and we do open the doors of opportunity for you to grow. However, you must earn the rewards – prove that you are worthy. There is a lot of hard work. Many souls do not last for very long.

Dedication, hard work, and letting go of the Self – of one’s own wants and needs – are the key points to passing through the spiritual tests. We do not set the test – you do – but we assist you to learn. When you ask for our help, it has been pre-arranged before birth. But once we start to work with you and help discipline you, you run away. You cannot take the pace. It is not “MY will be done,” but “Thy will be done.” When one forgets about the Self – about one’s own needs and desires – and begin to work with us, then spiritual growth starts to take place.

We can help you, but you have to do it our way. You have asked for this because, over many incarnations, your way has not worked. The way of the Self has taken you down paths that stopped you from growing. Know that the path may be hard – it may be rocky – but at the end of the path is a rainbow and a peace that passeth all understanding, a peace one cannot describe. It is oneness with God and it is available to all those who surrender to us, who work with us, and who follow our promptings. We do not mean you to suffer. When you fight us, you will suffer. When you do not, everything will fall into place. It will be perfect if you do not fight. However, it is the path of the Self to fight, to hang in there until the bitter end.

All we do is to show you how to bypass the Self, how to work with the Higher Self. It is not hard once you know how.

Children

Your children are only in your care. They choose you as their parent for the lessons you will help them to learn. You are often the catalyst for their experiences. Many children are young adults even while very young. People comment on them as ‘old souls’ or of ‘having been here before’. At an early age (depending on the child) they should be encouraged to do everything for themselves. So many parents try to do it for the child, perhaps because of their own childhood being so hard and they want to help their child avoid the life they had. However, when one helps a child to do something they can do for themselves, one stops that child’s growth. Each soul comes into an incarnation with the skills to learn all they need for their growth. Often the parents think that, because they are children, they need parental guidance. Yes, they do. But children need to learn from their own experiences, not from those of the parents. Children are far more resilient than adults. They can cope with the most difficult of circumstances because they have nothing else to judge them against. To them, difficult circumstances are normal. Only the adults say, “You can’t do that,” and by doing so they stop the child from learning the lesson of the action.

I was once asked when a child should start to make their own decisions and I told this soul, “Five years of age is when a child should start making their own decisions.” By doing this, they can select their own life, not that which their parents choose. So many children are pushed into doing things they do not want to do because “mother or father wanted me to do that.” Each child is programmed astrologically to find their own lessons and to fulfill their own destiny. Adults stop that from happening. If a child is allowed to go with the flow, they will be led and guided to where they have to go; the right circumstances will come to them to enable them to fulfill their destiny. If you, as an adult, stop that from happening, you will stop the growth of your child.

Let your child go and see the evolution of that soul. This does not mean that there should not be discipline or rules in the home. These are very important, but each child should be allowed to choose their own destiny and how they fulfill it.
