Talismans

Message from Maitreya:

It amuses us in our world in the fact that many of you carry talismans with you in your daily life. Although through history there has been a strong belief in these items, they really do not provide any protection or bring one luck. However, if one believes they do so, then it shall become. For centuries of earth time humanity has carried or worn crosses, talismans, amulets, and other kinds of protection for all sorts of things, including to bring one luck. These items are created by fear of others or from conditioning from parents, family, friends, or even the church. You are the creator of your own reality, and you can have protection and the ability to manifest if you just believe it will happen. For some this will take a long time because their deep, subconscious beliefs have not yet been cleared away. Thus, even if they believe and affirm, it may take time to happen. Others will find it happening very quickly because they have cleared away their fears and subconscious negative beliefs. Whether it is made of wood, metal, or other materials, a talisman will make no difference. Only you can be the creator of your own luck or protection.

So much money is spent on talismans when, in fact, just saying what you want to happen and having belief will start the creative process. Do you wear a talisman, amulet, or other item to protect you or enable you to have luck? If your answer is “Yes,” then take it off and watch how the fear manifests within you once that item is no more. You do not need to protect yourself. You are always protected unless you believe differently. There is no evil to be frightened of, only what you believe and create. Let go of your fear and your doubt in yourself and open the door to a new beginning in your life where just your affirmation will be the magnet for all that you need.

Changing Patterns – Continued

So how can we change the patterns of the past? Unless we raise our vibration, or become aware spiritually (not religiously), we may find this very hard. Of course, an astrologer can assist you here, but unless one feels the need to change, one cannot move on from the old energy of the past. In the last 30 years, millions of people have become aware from going to Mind-Body-Spirit festivals, reading books, taking classes, or just their own awakening.

I chose my awakening a short time prior to beginning to raise my vibration. I faced much fear in doing so because I had such a strong fear of change – once again the Cancer midheaven. When people talk about astrology they really do not understand that it is not just your sun sign that determines who you are, it is the whole chart and what is in that chart. Not only do I have that Cancer midheaven, but I also have my moon in Leo which makes me a very fiery individual – as my husband Alan will attest. It takes a brave person to live with me. Although over the years I have mellowed quite dramatically, every now and again I still have my fiery moments!

The first step in changing oneself is to become aware and the second is to then want to change the old patterns. This can be done with past-life therapy, affirmations, and healing on a metaphysical level with flower essences, color therapy, counseling, or other alternative practices. I found the use of crystals and gem stones helpful as well as Bach Flower Therapies for the fear I had on an emotional level. It was not just one thing but many, and it took over 30 years to achieve all of the changes I needed to make. It can be done in one lifetime – I am proof of that. However, the most important factor is the fact one needs to want to change more than anything.

Changing Patterns – Continued

We are, in fact, here to change patterns and to move on from the past. It can be seen in the astrological chart as a retrograde. A retrograde is what shows up in a natal or birth chart as a lesson or event which we have not yet learned, and so we have come back for another round of learning. Once the lesson is learned it no longer shows as a retrograde. I have one retrograde planet – Uranus in the 9th house – which shows that in a prior life I came to change the face of religion. Although I did create a new religion in a way, I did not do it the right way. Hopefully (with the help of Maitreya in this life), I have been able to assist people to see a new way of looking at God and at each other.

In the past life I created an organization that was too structured and very much in ego. I needed the help of a Master to be able to do it the right way in this life and so I chose a teacher, Maitreya, to assist me to do it. I know it has been done right in this incarnation, so hopefully I have done what I came here to do and am doing it well.

My first husband’s natal chart had every planet retrograde – lifetime after lifetime of not learning the lessons he chose to learn. I have never asked Maitreya what happens if, after a situation like this, one still does not learn the lessons. Are there retrogrades on retrogrades? I will have to ask him the next time I meditate; I am sure his answer will be interesting. My first husband was given the assistance of a spiritual energy to assist him with his retrogrades. In fact he cried when he sat in the presence of this energy, but it was still not enough to conquer the Self part of him and allow him to change his patterns of the past.
